Massage is not just for Adults

Massage Your Baby

Infant massage is a great way to form intimate bonds with a baby. It can help improve sleeping and eating habits; aids a colicky baby; and enhances communication. It’s something that anyone can learn to do. It’s a positive shared experience. There are just a few basic massage techniques. It’s most important to get comfortable, breathe calmly, and honor the baby’s sense of security. Every baby is unique - so make eye contact with the baby and relax.

Good info about baby massage. It sounds a bit like a gentle foot reflexology massage warm-up. This can be very beneficial to the babies and parents alike! I have a foot reflexology site which gives details on this natural therapy with a manual forthcoming.
One thing I would add about massaging babies is to choose a time when the baby is not going to be hungry, ie don’t start before the next feed is due!
