Massage without oil or over clothes
The Magic Massager doesn’t look like much, but it is a wonderful addition to any therapist’s tool kit. What you’ll see when you open the package is a colorful square of fabric. What you’ll feel when you begin to use this tool is a wonderful silky gliding movement.
Constructed of four layers of polyester fabric, the Magic Massager makes it easy to do full, friction-free massage over clothing, making it ideal for chair massage. Even over heavy sweaters or printed T-shirts, the fabric glides smoothly.
If you have clients who prefer to be massaged without oil, this is also a great tool. It’s ideal for working on the scalp without getting oil in the client’s hair, as well as for working on the face or other areas where oil might not be desirable.
The ability to massage without oils or lotions also makes this a good tool for massaging children and infants. Imagine being able to work on a restless toddler or preschooler without having to bother with having them undress and lie still for a full massage.
Though I have not tried it under water, the Magic Massager is supposed to work well under water, which may be useful for clients who would like to do self-massage at home, in the bath or hot tub.
Because this is a relatively inexpensive and highly portable tool, you’ll want to have more than one. The Magic Massager comes in two sizes: 15″ x 15″ and 18″ x 18.” Both sell for less than $25, and are available from retailers such as Massage Warehouse.
